Biography
Actor Matthew Porretta was born into a family of performers. Both parents are opera singers, and his father, Frank Porretta, appeared on the show with him in the second season. His brother Greg Porretta, also a performer, appeared in both the first and second seasons as Sir Guy of Gisbourne.

Porretta was trained in a few different places, including Nancy Rhodes and the Manhattan School of Music. He was a gymnast as a child, and used that skill to get himself the job as Robin for the first two seasons of the show "The New Adventures of Robin Hood (NAoRH). He actually performed a back flip at the audition.
